When global rock icons Foo Fighters brought their high-energy show to UTAS Stadium, ProMED Tasmania was proud to be entrusted with comprehensive medical coverage across all operational phases of the event.

From the first truck rolling in during bump-in to the final pack-down after the encore, our team was on site to ensure the safety and well-being of crew, performers, and staff.

Back-of-House and Performer Medical

Large touring shows rely on a huge amount of work happening out of sight. For the Foo Fighters concert, our clinicians were positioned to support:

  • Touring crew and local crew working long hours around staging, audio, lighting and production
  • Performers and support acts who may require timely review or treatment
  • Key personnel whose health directly impacts show continuity

Having Paramedics onsite meant any issues could be assessed and managed promptly, helping to minimise disruption to the production schedule and reduce the need for off-site transfers where appropriate.

Delivering Safe, Professional Event Medical

The Foo Fighters concert at UTAS Stadium showcased the value of proactive, well-planned event medical coverage. With Paramedics onsite across bump-in, show and bump-out, ProMED Tasmania supported:

  • A safer working environment for crew, staff and performers
  • Faster access to clinical care when required
  • Smoother event operations, with less disruption from unplanned health issues

We are proud to have contributed to the safe and successful delivery of this major event in Tasmania’s live music calendar.

Integrated with Event Operations

Our medical team worked closely with event control, security and venue management throughout:

  • Participating in pre-event planning and briefings
  • Aligning response plans with site layout, evacuation routes and communications
  • Maintaining clear radio contact with control rooms and key stakeholders
  • Providing situation updates as needed during the event

This integrated approach ensures medical is not an add-on service, but a core part of the event’s risk and safety framework.

Supporting Event Staff and Contractors

The success of an event of this scale depends heavily on the people working at gates, bars, security, catering, cleaning and logistics.

ProMED Tasmania provided:

  • Medical support for event staff and contractors across long shifts
  • Rapid response to any staff injuries or illness on site
  • Early intervention for fatigue, heat/cold exposure and minor injuries
