Medical Responder
Essential Requirements:
- Provide Advanced First Aid (HLTAID014) or equivalent
- Provide Advanced Resuscitation (HLTAID015) or equivalent
- Provide Pain Management (PUAEME005) or equivalent
- Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace (22556VIC) or equivalent
- Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis (22578VIC) or equivalent
Desirable Requirements:
- Certificate II in Medical Services First Response (HLT21020) or equivalent*
*ProMED Tasmania can assist successful applicants in gaining this qualification at a significantly reduced cost via completion of the course or recognition of prior learning (RPL).
Basic Life Support (BLS) Medic
Essential Requirements:
- Certificate III in Basic Health Care (HLT31220) or equivalent
- Provide Advanced First Aid (HLTAID014) or equivalent
- Provide Advanced Resuscitation (HLTAID015) or equivalent
- Provide Pain Management (PUAEME005) or equivalent
- Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace (22556VIC) or equivalent
- Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis (22578VIC) or equivalent
Advanced Life Support (ALS) Medic
Essential Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Health Care (HLT41120) or equivalent OR Diploma of Paramedical Science (HLT51020) or equivalent
- Provide Advanced First Aid (HLTAID014) or equivalent
- Provide Advanced Resuscitation (HLTAID015) or equivalent
- Provide Pain Management (PUAEME005) or equivalent
- Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace (22556VIC) or equivalent
- Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis (22578VIC) or equivalent
Health Professional (RN/PARAMEDIC)
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in relevant field or equivalent
- APHRA Registration which is free of restrictions or conditions
- Current or recent practice in the relevant field
ALL staff must hold a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable Persons Card while employed by ProMED Tasmania and be willing to undertake a National Police Check.
