General Requirements for All Roles
Hold a current Tasmanian RWVP (Employee) Card
Hold a current Tasmanian Driver's Licence
Hold a current National Police Check
Provide evidence of up-to-date immunisations for Hepatitis B, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), dTpa (Pertussis, Diphtheria, Tetanus), Varicella and Influenza

Medical Responder
(Health Professionals and Support Services Award — Support Services Officer Level 3 | Casual)
Essential Requirements:
- Certificate II in Medical Services First Response (HLT21020) or equivalent*
- Provide Advanced First Aid (HLTAID014)*
- Provide Advanced Resuscitation (HLTAID015)*
- Provide Pain Management (PUAEME008)*
- Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies (22702VIC)*
- Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis (22578VIC)*
*Successful applicants can gain this qualification through ProMED Tasmania via training or RPL at no cost.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Medic
(Health Professionals and Support Services Award — Support Services Officer Level 5 | Casual)
Essential Requirements:
- Certificate III in Basic Health Care (HLT31220), Certificate III in Non-Emergency Patient Transport (HLT31120), Certificate IV in Health Care (HLT41120), or equivalent
- Provide Advanced First Aid (HLTAID014)*
- Provide Advanced Resuscitation (HLTAID015)*
- Provide Pain Management (PUAEME008)*
- Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies (22702VIC)*
- Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis (22578VIC)*

Advanced Life Support (ALS) Medic
(Ambulance & Patient Transport Industry Award — Ambulance Attendant Year 1 | Casual)
Essential Requirements:
- Diploma of Paramedical Science (HLT51020), Diploma of Nursing (HLT54121), or equivalent
- Provide Advanced First Aid (HLTAID014)*
- Provide Advanced Resuscitation (HLTAID015)*
- Provide Pain Management (PUAEME008)*
- Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies (22702VIC)*
- Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis (22578VIC)*

Health Care Professional (Registered Nurse / Registered Paramedic)
(RN — Nurses Award Level 1 | Paramedic — Ambulance Officer Year 1 | Casual)
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Paramedicine, or equivalent
- AHPRA registration (no restrictions or conditions)
- Current or recent clinical practice
