    ProMED Tasmania currently has vacancies for the following roles state-wide:

    Medical Responder

    (Health Professionals and Support Services Award - Support Services Officer Level 3 - Casual)

    Essential Requirements:

    • Certificate II in Medical Services First Response (HLT21020) or equivalent*
    • Provide Advanced First Aid (HLTAID014)
    • Provide Advanced Resuscitation (HLTAID015)
    • Provide Pain Management (PUAEME008)
    • Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace (22556VIC)
    • Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis (22578VIC)

    *ProMED Tasmania will assist successful applicants in gaining this qualification via training or RPL at no cost. Please advise of the requirement and willingness to complete these in your application if not held.

    Basic Life Support (BLS) Medic

    (Health Professionals and Support Services Award - Support Services Officer Level 5 - Casual)

    Essential Requirements:

    • Certificate III in Basic Health Care (HLT31220) OR Certificate III in Non-Emergency Patient Transport (HLT31120) or equivalent
    • Provide Advanced First Aid (HLTAID014)
    • Provide Advanced Resuscitation (HLTAID015)
    • Provide Pain Management (PUAEME008)
    • Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace (22556VIC)
    • Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis (22578VIC)

    Advanced Life Support (ALS) Medic

    (Ambulance and Patient Transport Industry Award - Ambulance Attendant Year 1 - Casual)

    Essential Requirements:

    • Certificate IV in Health Care (HLT41120) or Diploma of Paramedical Science (HLT51020) OR Diploma of Nursing (HLT54121) or equivalent
    • Provide Advanced First Aid (HLTAID014)
    • Provide Advanced Resuscitation (HLTAID015)
    • Provide Pain Management (PUAEME008)
    • Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace (22556VIC)
    • Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis (22578VIC)

    Health Care Professional (Registered Nurse/Registered Paramedic)

    (RN - Nurses Award - Registered Nurse Level 1/Pay Point 3 - Casual | Paramedic - Ambulance and Patient Transport Industry Award - Ambulance Officer Year 1 - Casual)

    Essential Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent
    • AHPRA registration (must be free of restrictions or conditions)
    • Current or recent clinical practice

    General Requirements for All Roles

    • Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable Persons Card (Employee)
    • Willingness to undertake a National Police Check
    • Fully vaccinated and up to date with boosters per ProMED Tasmania policy
      • Influenza
        • Annual dose (updated each flu season)
      • COVID-19
        • Initial primary course (2 doses) plus any boosters recommended by the ATAGI
      • Pertussis, Diphtheria & Tetanus (DTaP)
        • Booster every 10 years
      • Hepatitis B
        • A documented initial dosage course followed by confirmation serology
      • Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR)
        • A documented initial dosage course OR confirmation serology
      • Varicella (Chickenpox)
        • A documented initial dosage course, OR confirmed history of chickenpox, OR confirmation serology
